At first, it takes me some time to find the start button of the game. I think it needs a page to show how to play with it. In all, its a fun game for the design with nice music and design as you will have to joy the dancing group to reach to the little exit. I'd appriciate if there could be more interactions with other dancers, currently when you hit others, you will fail the game.
I really enjoyed the game, and appreciated how you didn't make this game like Dance Dance Revolution. I noticed that I don't die at one hit by other dancers, so can the player know how many lives she has? Also, the counting timer on the bottom left just goes off even before starting the game, so not sure what the aim is there in general. What does the time tracker add to the game?
Also, I'd appreciate if there were moments in the game when the choreography of the dance allows for more opportunity for player to get the flower and touch the X. I felt that there's lots of space in the beginning before they start dancing, but it would be nice if the player doesn't have to feel like the point is to do everything before the dance starts.
Good work :)!
beautiful job this game was fun and genuinely challenging all while being very simple and easy to learn. aesthetically the contrast in the colors was so pretty and I could definitely see myself getting sucked into this game haha
I really enjoyed play your game and I think the bgm actually add lots of meaning to your game. Also I think your game function is very creative that try to avoid moving obstacles and collect object is very attractive. One suggestion I want to game to you is maybe you can add some a try again button after after the player dies to make the game loop more complete. Also I really like the interface of your game, the background and font all match your concept. good game.
I enjoyed playing your game so much! Music is amazing and these steps sounds are creating the right atmosphere. Somewhat I could pass all the levels from the first try, but then when I tried to replay I stuck a little bit on the second level. I agree that dancers' shapes look like umbrellas and that creates the feeling of open stage performance under the rain. I also love how you described your process and worked with coordinates, this is amazing! I agree about building and uploading after checking the game thoroughly because I have a similar situation with multiple copies of builds because of little imperfections. Overall great concept, If you build more levels in the future I will definitely play!
Thank you! Your interpretation is so poetic!
Your game is like watching dancers dance in the rain with umbrellas :). I really like how you incorporated foot step sounds which gave it an indirect feeling of dancing as well. The way how another group of dancers come in makes it much more engaging because I felt rushed to quickly arrive at the intersection to move onto the next scene. I'm not sure how but I wish the pause between scenes could be reduced so that the transition from one scene to the next could flow like dance moves :D. Awesome work!
Hahaha yes I do want you to race! This is why I tagged it an action game.
I love the music and the abstraction of this game. Dancers are represented by geometric shapes. The rolling hexagons remind me of ballet dancers. The first level (or title page?) is very easy to understand: You have to stand under the spotlight to be a leader. For me, the second scene is a little confusing. I'm not sure why should I stand. I was sent back to the first scene a lot of times, and haven't got to the ending scene yet. The way you make white-dress dancers move is really cool. I didn't realize how hard that is when I played it. I only know that after I see your description.
Thank you so much for your playtest and feedback! I'm so happy that the concept resonate more or less with you!
And yes, I totally agree with you that the difficulty is a problem... If you're still interested with completing the game (it only has two levels), try not to touch the white dancers and approach to the red item. Also I'll try update my description to make the learning progress easier for others!
